Privacy Policy
What happens to the information you share with us, in plain language.
Last updated September 30, 2026
Crossroads Community Church Buckley ("Crossroads," "we," "us") runs crossroadsbuckley.com. When you share something with us, you are trusting us with it, and we take that seriously. This page explains what information the website collects, why, and who else handles it.
The short version
- We only ask for information when you choose to reach out, like sending a prayer request or signing up to serve.
- We never sell your information.
- Some trusted services help us run the site, and they handle some of your information. Each one is listed below.
- You can ask us to see, correct, or delete what you have sent us at any time.
Forms on this website
Our prayer request form and our serve sign up forms ask for your name, email address, phone number (optional), and your message. When you press send, your message is emailed to our church office so someone from our team can respond. The website itself does not keep a copy. We use a service called Resend to deliver these emails.
We use what you send only to respond to you, pray for you, and help you get connected. If you ask us not to contact you, we won't.
Forms and giving we link to
Some forms, like our connection card and group sign ups, and our events calendar are hosted by Church Community Builder (CCB), the system our church uses to stay organized. Online giving is handled by Pushpay. When you use those pages, you are on their sites and their privacy policies apply. We never see or store your card or bank details.
CrossBot, our chat assistant
CrossBot answers questions about Crossroads using an AI service from OpenAI. When you send CrossBot a message, the conversation is sent to OpenAI to create a reply. Our website does not save your conversation, and it disappears when you leave or reload the page. OpenAI handles messages under its own business terms, which say they are not used to train its models, though OpenAI may keep them for a limited time to prevent abuse.
Please don't share private details like your full name, address, health information, or account numbers with CrossBot. If you'd like to talk with a real person, email info@crossroadsbuckley.com or call 253.303.6806.
If you or someone you know is in crisis, please call or text 988 (the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline) or call 911 right away. CrossBot is not monitored by a person and can't send help.
Website visits and cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use our site, like which pages are visited and roughly where visitors are coming from, so we can make the site more helpful. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your browser, device type, and approximate location. It does not tell us who you are. You can block cookies in your browser settings or use Google's opt out tool.
Our own site code does not set any other cookies.
Videos, maps, and fonts from other services
Some pages show content from other services: sermon videos from YouTube or Vimeo, a map from Google Maps, our events calendar from CCB, and fonts from Google Fonts. When those load, the service may receive basic information such as your IP address and may set its own cookies, under its own privacy policy.
When we share information
We don't sell, rent, or trade your information. We share it only with the services named on this page so they can do their job, or when the law requires it or someone's safety is at risk.
Children
This website is meant for adults and families, not for children under 13 to use on their own. We don't knowingly collect information from children through the site. If you believe a child has sent us information, let us know and we will delete it.
