God Made You for Relationship
God did not create you by accident or for nothing. He created you to know Him, not as a distant force or a set of rules, but as a Father who loves you and desires real relationship with you.
The Scriptures describe this as life to the fullest, not a perfect, pain-free existence, but a life with depth, peace, and purpose that comes from being connected to the God who made you.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
John 3:16
"I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."

"Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ."

Sin Separates Us from God
The problem is not simply that people make mistakes. The Bible uses the word "sin" to describe the way every person has turned away from God, in thought, in word, in action, and in desire. Sin is not just a list of bad things we have done; it is a condition of the heart that puts us at odds with a holy God.
Because of sin, there is a real separation between us and God. No amount of religious effort, moral achievement, or personal willpower can close that gap. We cannot earn our way back to God, and trying to leads either to pride or despair.
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

"But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear."

Jesus Made the Way
This is where the good news begins. God did not leave us in that separation. He entered into our world as a human being, Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Jesus lived without sin. He did not deserve death. But He willingly went to the cross, taking the penalty for our sin upon Himself.
Three days later, He rose from the grave, defeating sin, death, and the separation between us and God. Through Jesus alone, the way back to God is open. Forgiveness is possible. Peace with God is available. And a new kind of life, both now and into eternity, is offered freely to anyone who will receive it.
"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

Your Response
A relationship with Jesus is not inherited, earned, or assumed. It is received by faith. That means turning from sin, not promising to be perfect, but genuinely acknowledging that you need God's forgiveness, and trusting Jesus as the one who has paid for that sin. It means surrendering your life to Him as Lord, not just adding Him to your existing plans.
"Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God."
John 1:12
"If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
Romans 10:9
"Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in."

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast."
Ephesians 2:8-9
To receive Jesus, you can:
- Admit your need for God's forgiveness.
- Believe Jesus died for your sins and rose again.
- Turn from sin and trust Jesus with your life.
- Receive Him as Savior and Lord.

A Simple Prayer
You do not have to use perfect words. What matters is an honest heart before God. You can pray something like this:
"Jesus, I know I need You. I have sinned and cannot save myself. I believe You died for my sins and rose again. Please forgive me, make me new, and lead my life from this day forward. I trust You as my Savior and want to follow You as my Lord. Amen."
