Today’s Thought
Isaiah describes people who sought God and practiced fasting, yet their treatment of others told a different story. Their devotion did not match their daily lives. Sunday’s first Band-Aid reminded us that we need God’s mercy ourselves. Ask: Is my relationship with Jesus changing the way I live? What is standing in the way of growing closer to Him and responding to the grace and mercy that saved me? Obedience doesn’t earn God’s mercy; it is our response to mercy already received. Let God examine your heart, your words, and your actions.
Pray
“Father, thank you for the mercy I could never earn. Show me what is keeping me from growing closer to Jesus, and help my life reflect Your grace, every day, in greater measure. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN.”
Today’s Mercy Step
Ask God to reveal one attitude or behavior that needs to change. Take one concrete step of repentance or reconciliation today.
