South Prairie is a small town of under 400 people, platted in 1888 by Frank Bisson and named for its location south of Connell's and Porter's prairies. It was renamed Cascade Junction for a while, but residents pushed back, and it was officially incorporated as South Prairie in 1909.
People who choose to live there often value open space, familiar faces, and a life that does not feel constantly rushed. Crossroads Community Church shares many of those values.
We meet at White River High School in Buckley, close enough to become part of your family's Sunday rhythm without requiring a trip into Tacoma or Puyallup. Crossroads is a place where people can slow down, worship, listen to the Bible, ask honest questions, and build relationships that extend beyond the service.

Crossroads was planted in Buckley, but our heart extends throughout the surrounding communities and foothills. We exist to love, care for, serve, and support the people and families of this region.

Your kids and students will be in good hands while you're in the service.
Crossroads Kids
Children from nursery through 5th grade can attend Crossroads Kids during either Sunday service. The check-in process is secure, volunteers are background checked, and our team will help you understand where your children will go and how pickup works.
Crossroads Students
Crossroads Students, called EPIC, meets during the 10:30 AM service for middle and high school students, with its own leaders and space.
What If You Prefer to Keep to Yourself at First?
That is okay. Our greeters will help you find your way, but you do not have to carry a conversation, introduce yourself publicly, or participate before you feel comfortable.
You can quietly experience the service and decide whether you would like to return.
